Little Waves Contraction Timer
The free contraction timer. The Little Waves page describes it and answers the questions parents ask most, including when to go in, which is one for your healthcare professional.
- Where is my record kept? On your device, and in your own device backup. There is no account and we hold no copy, so deleting the app deletes the record. Share it first if you want to keep it. Nothing leaves home.
- How do I get the record out? In the Tide tab, open Report and tap Share PDF for the page your healthcare professional can read, or Share CSV for the raw rows. Either goes straight to the share sheet. The PDF lists every contraction, newest first, with a chart of the last hours against the clock.
- Is it medical advice? No. It is a record, not medical advice. The app shows the pattern in plain words; you and your healthcare professional decide what it means.
- The app says "Nothing was deleted". What does that mean? That the app found a file it could not read and left it exactly as it was. Your record is not lost. The file is listed under Kept files on the About screen, where you can share it with us and we will help recover it.
- Does the Apple Watch app work on its own? Yes. It records on your wrist and syncs to your iPhone when the two are in reach. If they ever disagree for a moment, the iPhone's record is the one that counts, and nothing you tapped is lost.
- What do the accessibility labels mean? The accessibility page explains each one in plain words, and says where we have checked less.

Common questions
- Do the apps work offline? Yes. Everything works offline. Apps that sync through your own iCloud simply catch up when you are back online.
- Are there purchases inside the apps? Never in the middle of play, and never aimed at children. In the family apps, whatever an app costs, you pay once. A grown-up app that runs a service for you may charge while it runs, cancels as easily as it started, and says so on its App Store page before you download. No surprises, ever.
- How do I get my data out? Apps that hold your data have an export button. One tap, open formats, no account needed.
- Refunds? Purchases are handled by Apple; refunds are requested through your App Store purchase history, and Apple decides them. If something is broken, tell us too, and we will fix it.
