Apps for families
For children up to eight, and the parents who look after them. Everything here is paid fairly and priced plainly, with no ads, no accounts and no tracking, and finished properly before it reaches you.
Four promises, each one checkable
Every family app makes these, and each is true of the app's architecture, not just its marketing.
- No ads. No accounts. No tracking. Ever. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing watching.
- We never see your data. There is no server of ours for it to reach.
- Nothing leaves home. The apps that work entirely offline say so, and Little Waves is one.
- Syncs through your own iCloud. We never see it. Where an app shares between two devices or two parents, it uses your iCloud, not ours.
Little Waves Contraction Timer
Time contractions with one tap and share the detail with your healthcare professional. That is the whole app, and it is completely free: no purchases, no subscriptions, no personal data collected. For iPhone and Apple Watch.
About Little WavesMidwife, doula or antenatal practitioner? There is a page for you.
A record, never advice
Little Waves shows the pattern in plain words and keeps the record straight. It never tells you when to go in; that is a question for your healthcare professional, and the app says so.
Its App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected, and you can check that on the store page yourself.
The next one
A second small, calm tool for parents is in the making now: the record of a child's first months and years, kept by the family, on the family's own devices, and shared between parents without an account.
Details when they are ready, not before. If you would like to know when it arrives, the support page tells you how to say hello.
And then the games
The games for small hands, starring Nuno, come after the tools for parents. Paid once, no purchases inside, nothing designed to make a child ask for more.
